Welcome to The Divergent Village

At The Divergent Village, we provide a supportive community for Autistic Parents to connect, learn, and grow together. Our mission is to empower you on your parenting journey.

The Divergent Village was born from lived experience, deep empathy, and a passion to make sure no family walks this path alone. With a background in childcare and years as a personal nanny, I bring both professional insight and raw, real-life knowledge to what I do. I don’t come into your home to "fix" anything — I come in to support, listen, educate, and help you build a life that works for your unique child.

Whether you’re newly diagnosed or deep in the thick of it — confused by systems, exhausted by advice, or just needing someone to say, "You’re doing great" — this is your village now.

Welcome. You’ve been seen. You’ve been heard.

And you belong here.

Build Your Village

Anna knows how lonely the autism journey can feel — because she’s walked it too. Through The Divergent Village, she helps parents connect with real, local support: trusted therapists, neuro-affirming professionals, and other families who get it. She’s here to help you find your village — because you shouldn’t have to do this alone.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is autism, really?

Autism, or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a neurodevelopmental difference. It affects how a person communicates, processes information, experiences the world, and connects with others. It’s not a disease — it’s a different way of being.
Anna can help you understand what this means for your child in real life — not just in clinical terms — and support you in building strategies that actually work at home.

Is autism a disability?

It can be, especially in environments that aren’t supportive or inclusive. But more than anything, it’s a difference — and autistic people can thrive with the right supports.
Anna helps families identify their child’s unique needs and create a home and routine that reduces overwhelm and celebrates strengths.

What causes autism? Can autism be cured?

The exact causes aren’t fully understood, but we know it’s largely genetic. Autism is not caused by vaccines, parenting, or diet.
Anna helps you move past the ‘why’ and focus on the ‘how’ — how to support your child, how to advocate, and how to find the joy in this journey.

CAN IT BE CURED? No — and it shouldn’t be. Autism is a lifelong neurotype, not something broken to be fixed. The goal is understanding and support, not change. However through diet, enviroment and support it can ease things.
Anna helps you reframe the way you see your child — shifting from fear to empowerment — and connects you with respectful, neurodivergent-friendly therapists and resources.

“The Divergent Village has been a lifesaver for me. I finally found a place where I feel understood and supported. Anna really gets it and her support is invaluable.”
